1、 Yarn count of knitted fabric
Pure cotton yarn is a single yarn or ply yarn spun from cotton, which is suitable for weaving, knitting, thread making, rope making, etc. The specification is usually expressed in English yarn count. The British yarn count (Ne) of cotton yarn is defined as the length and yardage of cotton yarn with a weight of one pound. Calculation of imperial count of cotton yarn: when the moisture regain is determined, the number of 840 yards of cotton yarn with a weight of one pound is determined, which is called the number of inches. For example, if it contains 32 840 yards, it is called 32 feet, and so on.
2、 Yarn count classification
Coarse count yarn: pure cotton yarn with 18 inch count or less, mainly used for weaving thick fabrics or raised cotton fabrics.
Medium count yarn: 19-29 inch count pure cotton yarn. It is mainly used for knitting clothes with general requirements.
3、 General Comb and Comb
Ordinary combed yarn: refers to the yarn spun by ordinary combed spinning process, also known as unconcombed yarn.
Combed yarn: refers to the yarn produced by adding combing process to ordinary combed yarn when spinning with high-quality cotton fiber as raw material.
4、 Gram weight of knitted fabric
Generally, it is the weight of square meter of fabric in grams. Gram weight is an important indicator of knitted fabrics. In knitted products, generally speaking, the heavier the weight, the thicker the fabric texture.
