Flame-retardant fabrics are fabrics with flame-retardant properties, which can inhibit the spread of flames to a certain extent. Based on different flame-retardant properties, flame-retardant fabrics can be divided into several grades. These grades are mainly based on the fabric's flammability under specific conditions to ensure its safe use in different application scenarios.
Flame Retardant Rating Classification
Non-combustible Grade (Grade A)
Characteristics: Under standard testing conditions, the fabric is not ignited and does not produce any burning drips.
Application Scenarios: Suitable for occasions with extremely high flame-retardant performance requirements, such as fire-fighting suits, welding suits, etc.
Flame-retardant Grade (Grade B1)
Characteristics: The fabric is difficult to ignite under standard testing conditions, burns slowly, and burning drips are unlikely to ignite other substances.
Application Scenarios: Suitable for occasions with general flame-retardant requirements, such as home decoration, curtains in public places, etc.
Combustible Grade (Grade B2)
Characteristics: The fabric can ignite under standard testing conditions, burns relatively quickly, but burning drips are unlikely to ignite other substances.
Application Scenarios: Suitable for occasions requiring certain flame-retardant properties, such as some work clothes and bedding.
Flammable Rating (B3)
Characteristics: The fabric is extremely easy to ignite, burns rapidly, and may produce large amounts of toxic fumes and burning droplets.
Application Scenarios: This type of fabric is generally not suitable for occasions requiring flame-retardant properties.
