Maintenance of hot stamped fabrics is relatively complex. Due to the metallic coating, they are not suitable for washing and should be dry cleaned.
When ironing, use a cloth between the fabric and the hot stamping layer to avoid direct damage.
Also, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or humid environments to prevent affecting the fabric's lifespan and appearance.
The washability of the metallic coating is directly related to the characteristics of the substrate. The metallic coating (metallic paint or powder) on hot stamped fabrics is easily peeled off and is generally not suitable for washing; dry cleaning is recommended. Even for washable fabrics, strict washing instructions must be followed. When washing, follow these guidelines:
1. Keep water temperature below 30℃ to avoid prolonged soaking that could cause the coating to peel off.
2. Hand wash gently with a neutral detergent; avoid contact with bleach and strong detergents.
3. When ironing, cover the fabric with a cotton cloth for heat insulation; the temperature should not exceed 110℃; never use a steam iron directly on the hot stamping area.
