The Working Principle Of Hot Stamping Printed Fabrics

May 16, 2026 Leave a message

Hot stamping machines apply pressure to the fabric using a metal roller with embossed patterns at a high temperature of 180-220℃, transferring an aluminized film onto the base fabric surface to form a metallic pattern. This process can be combined with composite technologies such as PU coating and flocking to enhance the fabric's waterproofness and visual appeal. Laser hot stamping fabrics launched in 2019 feature a pearlescent coating, expanding their application scenarios in the outdoor sports field.

The main methods for producing hot stamping fabrics include hot stamping, coating hot stamping, and digital hot stamping. Hot stamping uses high temperature (approximately 150-200℃) and pressure to melt metal foil and transfer it to the fabric surface to form a metallic sheen. Coating hot stamping uses coating equipment to evenly coat the fabric surface with a paste containing metallic pigments, which then dries to form a metallic sheen. Digital hot stamping combines digital printing technology, using digital control to achieve precise positioning of the hot stamping pattern, making it suitable for personalized, small-batch production.

In recent years, hot stamping technology has continued to innovate, resulting in a variety of new hot stamping fabrics such as iridescent pearlescent, iridescent landscape, and heat-retaining fabrics. By bonding special effect films to the fabric surface, its application has been expanded to down jackets, children's clothing, and other fields.
