The surface creates a visual contrast between the unstamped areas and the three-dimensional pattern, maintaining the original soft feel of the fabric while adding decorative appeal. Hot stamped fabrics have a metallic luster with high gloss, reflecting light and creating a luxurious visual effect. The process allows the fabric to produce a three-dimensional effect with an embossed style and a special glossy finish, with bright colors and patterns in the stamped areas, creating a striking contrast with the unstamped areas.
However, this type of fabric is often relatively fragile, less washable and easily damaged compared to materials like cotton and linen, hence the common nickname "disposable skirt." Some polyester-spandex four-way stretch hot stamped fabrics are water-resistant, retaining over 90% of the hot stamping layer integrity after 30 machine washes. In addition, some hot stamped fabrics also feature high seam strength, strong abrasion resistance, and high flexibility. Antistatic treated styles have a surface resistivity of 10^8-10^10 Ω, suitable for making workwear in the precision electronics industry.
